Things that I would recommend for my Emergency Bag/ Emergency Items for Natural Disasters, power outages, keeping yourself entertained, and more. I went through 2 Category 5 Hurricanes; Hurricane Irma and Maria In 2017 and was possibly going to be in Hurricane Dorian’s way in 2019. Knowing that, I have decided to share with you items that I think will help in a time of need.

After seeing the flooding that can happen, I figured it’s a good idea to have a way to get around with a inflatable kayak.

Battery Powered Fan
When there is no power and you need relief from the heat, having a battery powered fan makes all the difference in the world. I would know because I only had a plug in fan in St Thomas USVI and it was so hot, I wished I had a battery powered fan.
Energizer Max D Batteries
Portable DVD Player
Having entertainment helps so much. If you don’t have a computer, or if you computer goes out or you don’t have internet, you can get a portable DVD player and DVD’s so you can still watch a movie or two. Once the power goes out on that, there is always the option to read a book.
DVD’s:
The Office: The Complete Series
Hunger Games Collection
Twilight Saga 5 Movie Collection
Friends: The Complete Series Collection
Swiss Army Knife
Pepper Spray
Stun Gun
Protection is always good. When times are tough, people get desperate and you never know what could happen. I think it’s a good idea to have something to protect yourself.
Sleeping Bag
Towels
Deluxe Misting Personal Fan
Survival Bracelet Watch
I like this one because it has a whistle, clock and compass. I was watching a survivalist show and he didn’t have a compass and I figured I needed one.
Rope
In the movie “Boondocks Saints” he says he needs rope and his brothers asks why and he says “ I don’t know why they need it, but in the movies they always need it” and that is why I also have rope.
